Despite the venue change, the event retained its place as one of the PGA Tour’s premier signature tournaments. Sepp Straka entered the final round holding a three-shot advantage alongside playing partner Shane Lowry, with challengers including Justin Thomas, Keith Mitchell, Patrick Cantlay, and Tommy Fleetwood trying to mount a charge. Cantlay briefly surged up the leaderboard with an eagle during the back nine, while Fleetwood and Thomas added birdies to stay within reach. Straka, however, maintained control throughout the day with steady ball striking and clutch putting, answering challenges whenever the leaderboard tightened. His consistent play down the stretch allowed him to protect the lead as the final groups navigated the demanding conditions at Philadelphia Cricket Club. In the end, Sepp Straka closed out the victory to capture the 2025 Truist Championship, securing the signature-event title and adding another PGA Tour win while the tournament temporarily called Philadelphia home before returning to its long-standing venue at Quail Hollow Club.
